We were recently asked to visit a serviced apartment-hotel residence from AKA . They describe their concept as having,

‘the style and hospitality of an intimate hotel with the space and comfort of a fully appointed luxury condominium.’

Their UK residence is in Marylebone close to Harley St. at No.5 Bentinck St. You may remember it’s entrance from our infamous video of the elegant Sesame Access lift.…..

They have an on site concierge and a lounge but the idea is to stay in a self contained apartment and to treat it as a home from home. There are however, all the amenities of a hotel including:

on site Resident Services Team provides suggestions and recommendations and can assist with any restaurant reservations, deliveries, appointments you request
on site management and maintenance
complimentary gourmet coffee and tea service

Their accessible One Bedroom Deluxe Apartment can be seen on this virtual link. It doesn’t really show the bathroom in too much detail but it’s just next to the entrance door and is a wet room where the rails retract into the wall.

The Kitchen Is Not Really Wheelchair Friendly But Adequate

Bedroom Has Room To Manoeuvre + a High Emergency Cord!

Wheel In Shower s Next to Front Entrance With Wall Retracting Grab Rails

All The Rails in The Right Places But The Emergency Cord is a Tad Out of Reach!!! Haha

In terms of rates, this depends on the length of stay but the range is £300/350+ vat per night. So not cheap but slightly less than staying in a hotel in Marylebone. If you choose to visit you may also want to check out our recent review of eateries in the Marylebone area.
