Update 2023: This bar is now Tequila Mocking Bird and the have a number of bars across London. We’ll find out if the other bars are accessible and we assume the access remains the same as before for the Shoreditch venue.

They say they’re a ‘destination venue with a trendy interior’. They offer everything from cheap cocktails hours to late night drinking.

I haven’t been to either Bar Prague (there’s one at Angel, Islington and one in Shoreditch, Hackney), but I did eventually get them on the phone . They are bars that serve ‘Traditional Czech bar snacks’ all day. Both are described as ‘bohemian’ and display local artist’s work.

Both I’m assured have disabled access as they are at street level and they both have disabled toilets. The one at the Angel however, is also the ladies as it used to be a gay bar and didn’t have much call for a ladies toilet (their words). So gentlemen with disabilities be aware!! It is also up a step in the second part of the bar.

The Islington Bar Prague on Friday and Saturday turns into a club bringing DJ’s from all over the world.
