Listing Description

The Brasserie Des Beaux Arts in Toulouse is a traditional French restaurant overlooking the Garonne. It’s part of the Esprit Brasserie chain which has a lot of restaurants in Paris which we’ve reviewed in the past.

It’s been described as an institution in Toulouse and the brasserie’s website suggests that it is a favourite haunt of politicians, sportsmen and artists when in the city. It’s basically a typical higher end brasserie, serving classic French dishes with a focus on quality ingredients and recipes.

The access is not particularly good and there is no disabled toilet. There are two steps up to get into the building but they said that some waiters can help people, who need help, to get in. As well as not having a disabled toilet, the toilet that they do have is at the bottom of a flight of stairs. Although they told us that less able people can go to the hotel next door, there isn’t a disabled toilet there either – just a toilet with less steps to get down to.

So for facilities this is not a great venue but it has a nice, classically French ambience, a great location and the staff are helpful.

We’re going to give the Brasserie Des Beaux Arts a provisional 1.5 BBS Ticks.
