Listing Description

We visited this great wine bar last night, Cepages (% of grape variety in a blended wine). It’s in ‘uber trendy’ Westbourne Park Road and was full of ‘fashionistas’, locals and business men.

It’s described as

‘a new concept of enjoying genuine wines directly sourced from proper winemakers together with some amazing sharing plates inspired by French classics. Our menus are constantly evolving with the seasons and our chef’s inspiration.’

Large 20cm Step at Entrance to Cepages
Adequate Lighting & Flat Wood Floor
Tables at Good Height, Noisy When Packed But Made Very Welcome & Feels Like Your Own Great ‘Find’

It’s not very big and the toilets are downstairs (so no disabled toilet), there’s also a large step at the entrance. However, the food and wine were excellent (& not expensive) and the staff were well trained in lifting a wheelchair into the venue. We were made to feel very welcome and it felt like you’d found your own local bar. Acoustics weren’t good due to the wood floor and high ceiling but it was adequately lit. On a less busy night I’m sure the acoustics would be much better and there was plenty of room to manoeuvre with tables at a good height.

Cepages gets full marks for style and is accessible to a point so get 2 BBS Ticks
