Listing Description

Dakota in Edinburgh is the sister hotel to the previously reviewed Dakota hotel in Glasgow. This hotel “offers excellent service, luxurious interiors, innovative style and an award-winning bar & grill.” It’s 10 minutes outside Edinburgh sitting alone like a Japanese electronics factory.

Like the Glasgow Dakota hotel there are accessible bedrooms on every floor with wider door frames, lower light switches, emergency cords and walk in showers. The entrance to the hotel is flat and there are lifts in the hotel to get you to each floor and the bar is accessible with a disabled toilet.

The Guardian said it looked like it’s designed by an ‘all male team’ with a huge flat screen TV in the room & it, “feels flashy and looks expensive. It’s not. At a flat rate of £89 a night per room, or £113 per room for the weekend,” 2007.

We checked and prices range from £69-£139 to £350 (during the Edinburgh festival) & the staff are very friendly and helpful.
