The Dôme and The Dôme Sur Mer are a pair of restaurants, across the road from one another in Antwerp.

The Dôme, the more sophisticated of the two, has a Michelin star and serves traditional french food. It prides itself on not the fact that it doesn’t follow fads, preferring to stick to doing the basics well. They source the best local products to make quality classics. Diners sit underneath an art nouveau dome which gives the restaurants there name.

The Dôme Sur Mer is a less formal, smaller, sea food restaurant across road. They focus on bringing customers fine wine and delicious, fresh seafood. Like it’s big brother, the Dôme Sur Mer likes to keep things simple but classy. Following this theme, the restaurant is decorated in all white. An aquarium containing goldfish lines one of the walls providing a splash of colour. Some customers may find this slightly unnerving as they tuck into their seafood platters with the goldfish forced to watch on. Lucky the fish will forget what they’ve seen two seconds later!

Both restaurants are flat enough to get around easily. However, neither has a disabled toilet. So they lose marks for disabled facilities.
