I went to the Everyman Cinema at Maida Vale to see A Dangerous Method the other week. The American Lieutenant had said it was accessible and had sofas, wine and pizzas. I arrived and was pleasantly surprised at the modern lift to the first floor, we then realised that the cinema we wanted to go to involved me getting onto a ‘stairlift’ – precarious for me at the best of times! So we opted to go to the Woman in Black on the first floor. We had pizza and olives while we waited which was all very enjoyable as was the quality of the wine.

In the cinema I didn’t transfer to the sofas which meant I was on the end in the aisle – not a problem as there was plenty of room. The film was rubbish the scariest moment for me was when someone walked out behind me and made me jump.

Nevertheless this was a good experience and I must commend Everyman on the disabled access and facilities – the toilet was perfect and on the same floor. The staff were also very helpful. I am definitely going back but only to see a good film!
