Listing Description

Hunters is a charming hotel with thr feeling its of ‘another age’. Based in County wicklow, Ireland it’s been owned by the same family since 1825 and is 40 minutes drive from Dublin. It has consistent 5 star reviews on Tripadvisor and they state that there is wheelchair access and accessible rooms. However when we asked about access they confirmed,

Does it have Flat access, if not are there ramps? – ‘yes with cobble stones’
Do you have a disabled toilet with grab rails? – ‘Yes’
If there’s an accessible room, does it have a wheel in shower – ‘No’.
So we believe the hotel is accessible as a restaurant and the accessibility is OK if you’re ambulant disabled. If anyone knows for sure please contact us.
Hunters Hotel Set in the Countryside of County Wicklow. 40 Mins. Drive From Dublin
A Quaint Hotel Without The Chintz. They Serve Morning Coffee, Afternoon Tea and Dinner. Lunch is Available on Saturday & Sunday
It Has a Style of It’s Own That is Very ‘Country’
A Typical Irish Bar Within the Hotel
The Rooms are Large Enough for Wheelchairs But No Wheel in Shower
Hunter’s has 2 acres of flower and vegetable gardens, a wild flower meadow and a river walk along the banks of the River Vartry.
Other reviews say it’s a quaint hotel with good wholesome food. It’s also set in the beautiful countryside of Wicklow with an equally beautiful garden. So well worth a visit.
We give them an unaudited 2.5 BBS Ticks for access and style.
