Listing Description

Thanks to Andy for sending us this review of his recent trip to Le Manoir:

I decided to take my wife to Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons for her birthday. Tucked away in the Oxfordshire countryside Le Manoir is a tranquil haven. From the moment we arrived the level of service was outstanding and the courteous staff were not fazed by the sight of a wheelchair. A golf buggy was arranged to take us to reception and then onto the fabulous Citronelle suite which is Le Manoir’s adapted accommodation.

le manoir 1

The suite is everything expected when staying at TripAdvisor’s No. 1 place to stay in the UK. An extraordinary level of detail is shown throughout. This level is extended into the bathroom where the adaptions that can be fitted are smart and stylish, better than the usual clinical kit.

Le Manoir 2

Access around the hotel is fine with portable ramps laid out wherever there are steps, of which there are few. Access to the main building and restaurant is on one level with two steps down into the lounge. Again a portable ramp can be laid and rarely did I have to ask for one to be provided as they were already in place. Help was always offered and given by staff when needed. A disabled toilet is on the same level as the lounge and is easily accessible.

Wheelchair access to the main restaurant is fine and we were seated in the delightful conservatory for both dinner and breakfast.

The food is excellent and while we were there the grouse, monkfish, steak and some great starters were consumed with great pleasure.

I would give Le Manoir 3 BBS ticks

Thanks again Andy. We’ll give a provisional 3 Ticks and presumably the audit will just be a formality – it sounds great!
