Listing Description

The French Lieutenant took me to a bar he said would be right for me, cool, trendy, full of antiques and with a hippo on the wall! Initially insulted I was also intrigued. So we found Loungelover in a back street near Shoreditch High St. This is a bar which is part of  Les Trois Garcons empire.

As we entered, the very trendy and  attractive greeters were initially thrown by my wheelchair but we were then shown to a table at the back of the bar where my wheels didn’t get in the way. However, it was on a slope – luckily my brakes were working well.

The cocktails were good and unusual, I had a champagne and basil mix and the French Lieutenant had a daiquiri with sake in it. Wine list is short and the food is Japanese. The squid with chillies is to be recommended. The ambiance is such that you feel you’re somewhere ‘cool’ and it was very friendly. I loved the music.

I’ll go back but make sure I wear my most ‘on trend’ outfit.

BTW the toilets were good and access is all on one  level.
