Update Oct 2016: Still not replied to our query re accessibility but a follower of BBS has sent this latest despatch,

‘I didn’t notice a disabled toilet, but that is not to say that they don’t have one! I think the lift to the 3rd floor will fit a wheelchair comfortably and table access all on one level with plenty of room… xx’

So looks like if you can wait months for a table you will get in if you’re disabled. Wonder if they’ll ever reply to us????

Man behind The Curtain is a restaurant by Michael O’Hare of Great British Menu fame. He produced food that had the look of art by Jackson Pollack and also tasted good. he was also described as the ‘maverick with a mullet’ due to his dyed black hairstyle. He no longer sports the mullet and is more ‘blonde’ after receiving a Michelin Star. Here’s the video of the GBM NE heat that Michael won and was described as ‘rock and roll’:

But what about accessibility. The restaurant is above a menswear shop and we’ve asked for further information and will update when we get it. The room appears well lit but hard surfaces may make it noisy. No news on a disabled toilet so they get a provisional 2 BBS Ticks until we hear more. It looks a really interesting and innovative restaurant and can’t wait to be in Leeds to try it!!
