Wallpaper magazine is one of our sources for new cool places to go so we were eager to know more about the Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel they recommended. In particular we wanted to know how they accommodated people with disabilities. We gave a previous review of Ibiza having visited back in 2013 and it still holds true that the island is more accessible than you might think. In the previous review we looked at restaurants, bars & clubs as well as the villa we used, so this is a welcome addition of an accessible hotel.

This particular hotel occupies an old block of holiday apartments in Ibiza’s San Antonio district and has been refurbished into an art deco-style building …”Recalling a kitsch and colourful 1970s Miami”. It’s also ‘addicted to art’!

Pool Area Looks Accessible

They Have accessible Rooms But We’re Awaiting Images

This is a good looking hotel and the concierge promises to get you into the best restaurants and clubs. We asked about their accessibility and here’s what they said,

‘Yes we have a room for people with disabilities and in the lobby area there is a disabled toilet.’

We’ve also asked for images of the accessible room and will update once we get them. However, as Spain generally adheres to the latest European access laws we have some confidence in their statement (maybe?!). It definitely has an Ibiza party vibe with daily DJ sets and maybe not for people who want a quiet time.

Until we get more clarification on grab rails and wet room capabilities we give this hotel an unaudited 2.5 BBS Ticks. We want to visit (purely for research purposes) but if anyone has a report please get in contact.
