Peckover House & Garden, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire

Peckover House & Gardens an Accessible National Trust Property
Georgian Garden
The Dining Room Feels Like Jane Austen Could be Eating There.

A small Georgian town house with interesting gardens. Its website advises that parking for blue badge holders is permitted on the double yellow lines right outside the property. The reason why I include this in my list…..it is the best toilet we have ever come across and was installed with the help of the council and the Muscular Dystrophy Society. There was a full size adult changing bed, a full blown hoist just like the one in our daughter’s care home room, a shower and a large sink that was easily adjusted to an appropriate height. In addition to this there was ample room for a power chair to turn completely around very easily.

And here’s a video of said loo – including very Georgian music??

They get 2.5 BBS Ticks as not every part (steps to entrance is via a stairclimber) is easily accessible. The toilet is nominated for a Blue Badge Access Award.
