Listing Description

Lasarte is a restaurant in Barcelona with 2 Michelin stars.

It is a intimate space with simple designs and murals inspired by Gaudi. Their website says that their recipe for success is a simple one. They just ‘work, strive, feel, listen, talk, taste, observe, thrill, improve, excite, think, imagine, inspire, decorate, pamper, reflect, research and work – work contentedly, eagerly, intelligently and intuitively to convey the flavours of the very best gastronomic experience to eager palates comme il faut.’ If you ask me, that actually all sounds pretty complicated… and like a lot of work. Whatever all this means, it’s succeeding.

The restaurant is overseen by celebrated chef Martín Berasategui who has a total of seven Michelin stars in various restaurants. The food all looks and tastes great. It’s very elegant and with only 35 seats it’s a very quiet and enjoyable experience.

Flat entrance But We Think There are a Few Stairs at Internal Entrance
Flat Flooring & Plenty of Room. Well Lit
Vegetable Leaves Salad, Herbs, Sprouts and Petals, Lettuce Cream and Lobster
Petit Fours

The restaurant is accessible from street level and does have a disabled toilet. The only problem is that for unknown some reason the disabled toilet has been put at the top of a short flight of stairs. The waiters are able to carry people up the stairs but that is not ideal. So the facilities are there although they’re a little difficult to get to and the food and ambience is terrific.

The Lasarte gets a provisional 2.5 BBS Ticks.
