The Stagg Inn is a hotel and restaurant in Herefordshire and we’ve included it as we’re trying to increase our coverage across the UK. The rooms seem to be the the highlight of this Inn, as the Telegraph reported

“The Stagg was the first gastropub to achieve a Michelin star, back in 2001, an accolade that Steve Reynolds has retained. His locally-sourced food is admirably unfussy, but too many of our dishes (we were five) failed to particularly impress”.

But they have consistently won awards and in 2012 they were awarded the National Dining Pub of the Year. So there are some divided views but we think it’s worth reviewing. If anyone has been let us know!

We haven’t been yet but unfortunately it’s not possible to get up the stairs if you are in a wheelchair and so there are no accessible rooms. However, the restaurant is accessible and flat throughout but there isn’t a disabled toilet ; apparently the men’s can be used with help from someone (so why not convert to a proper DT???)… I guess going here depends how keen you are, as it isn’t the most suitable place if you’re disabled…Shame?!
