Listing Description

For once I went back to somewhere I’d reviewed before for a second visit – Tom’s Kitchen in King’s Rd. It was for a quiet birthday celebration of one of my Lieutenants and I can say it was as good as the last time but for the fact we had a table tucked in by the wall. This was OK until the table next to us became occupied and a feeling of claustrophobia came over me, as it was then impossible for me to move or get out without disturbing 6 people. So just beware if you need extra room make sure you get a table away from the wall. (Also found out that Tom’s in Canary Wharf is fully accessible and has an equipped disabled toilet, another to add to the ‘audit list’). Food was still good and hearty (fish pie is the best) and on hearing it was a birthday the staff came up with a dessert, a candle and sang happy birthday…….nice touch!

Talking of ‘touch’ I’ve also got involved in the 1Touch Project of Self Defence for the blind and visually impaired. In particular I’m interested to see if this can also help people with other disabilities. It’s based on specific and small movements rather than strength to stop potential attacks. Take a look at the video:

Lastly I thought I’d take a look at the fashion on the red carpet i.e. The Oscars to see if there was anything good or really bad (we all like to see perfect beings look less than good).

The best..

And the worst…

See you next week after a visit to the latest trendy club in London and a meeting with the British Hospitality Association where I’m trying to get their members to take notice of the Blue £.
