We recently visited Warehouse in Covent Garden. It’s part of the private members Conduit Club and is open to the general public,

located on Langley St. which is pedestrianised so taxis/cars are best to drop off in Mercer Walk which is a short wheel/walk to the restaurant.

The meal featured a lot of fish and vegetable dishes with unusual side orders such as rainbow carrots coated with seaweed Kurikake, a Japanese seasoning. Warehouse takes it name from the

“19th century Covent Garden fruit and vegetable warehouse. The history of the space has echoes in the menu, where traditional preservation methods and heritage produce are used alongside modern and innovative culinary techniques. By working with the seasons, the essence of nature is translated onto the plate, with whole ingredients used to their full potential”.

The food was definitely fresh and light with the minimum of chef’s fussiness. A pleasant change and very accessible with plenty of room to move, good height of tables (for wheelchairs) and smooth dark flooring. The room was well lit with natural daylight and interior lights. The disabled toilet was at the back of the restaurant and up a slight incline in the floor.

Great Access, ok toilet and good food, we give them 2.5 BBS Ticks. My companion nominated them for a Blue Badge Access Award and they’re on the shortlist for best restaurant.
