Update 2023: Bubbledogs is now Kitchen Table. They have gained and retained 2 Michelin Stars.

Bubbledogs as was, is now a dining experience, it lasts for 2 hours, starting at 6pm, at £200/head for a 20 course tasting menu. The concept of lots of drinkers in close proximity was not sustainable after COVID hence the change. The courses are explained by the chef James Knappet, – previously of The Ledbury and Noma – as he guides you through the whole experience. The Bubbledogs concept is no more as the bar is now the lounge area of the restaurant where you are served some exquisite cocktails. The wine pairings are provided by sommelier Sandia Chang, who is also co-owner with her husband Knappet. However, you can buy the champagnes of the old Bubbledogs at the online at Bubbleshop, curated by Sandia Chang. We loved the previous concept and according to all the critics this is one of the best chefs tables in London. Still don’t think there’s a disabled toilet but we’ll give it a go when we feel slightly richer.

Kitchen Table Looks a Lot Smarter Than The Previous Bubbledogs Albeit Not as Quirky. There’s Still a Large Step at the Entrance

Update Oct 2016: Bubbledogs introduced a Kitchen table that seats 19 and it’s retained it’s 1 Michelin Star. They’ve told us there is room for a wheelchair at the table. However, they still don’t have a disabled toilet but it is at least wheelchair accessible now, through a ‘discreet’ entrance. Haven’t tried it yet but sounds good as it’s….

“a dining experience, encouraging full interaction with the chefs and showcasing previously unseen kitchen theatre. Here Head Chef James Knappett prepares, cooks and serves a daily changing menu of meticulously sourced and foraged British ingredients”

James Knappett is ex The Ledbury and Noma two excellent restaurants. Maybe they’ll win a BBS Award in 2017??

Kitchen Table at Bubbledogs Not Sure Where the Wheelchair Goes..... But Sounds Like Good Food & FUN.

Main Area of Bubbledogs Accessible But Tables Are High. Still Had Fun Sitting to the Side of The Bar. Toilets Downstairs!

I keep forgetting to write this review and I don’t know why as I had a great night out at Bubbledogs, in Charlotte St., London. They serve exactly what you’d think champagne – direct from growers so there are some unusual and very good bottles of ‘poo’ – and hotdogs – which were fine but I’m no real expert on this culinary delight.

Above all it’s a fun place and even though, in a wheelchair, I was nowhere near the height of the bar or tables, I was still involved in the general hubbub. There’s a queuing system to get in but I was put to the front. There’s also a step at the entrance and a disabled toilet exists but it’s down a flight of stairs, (they do offer to carry you down). Best place to be is by the bar as the rear  looked pretty cramped and I think is up another step (soz it was a while ago and my memory is fuzzy regarding the night out).

Suffice to say I loved it and although it’s a little inaccessible the staff make up for this with their helpful and fun attitude.

Bubbledogs gets 2.5 BBS Ticks
